306 Bullocks contracted to Cargill Abattoirs Wagga through CL Squires & Co were killed on 27th August 2008. The averages came back at an outstanding $1392/hd for an average HDCW of 352.55kg. Only 4 bullocks out of the 306 killed didn’t make the top rate. $3.95c/kg carcass weight was the contracted price which was met with a 99% compliance. The breed of cattle sent were 75% Shorthorns with the balance being Shorthorn/Droughtmasters x. All cattle marbled well on a soda grain mix/100 day mix and were all milk and two tooth.
